I really like the effect on this work, it looks screen printed

I like the minimalist style this person has used to illustrate what would have been a very details and 3 dimensional scene.

This week I was sick so was unable to make it to class but still managed to do some illustrations in bed of the food trucks/chippery and lay them out to then be put in the brochure format. I unfortunately missed the interim presentation but read what was discussed amongst each students designs and analysed my work myself.

This week we developed our ideas and started to demonstrate them visually. I started drawing icons and sketched objects with affiliation to the sub categories which then turned into a potential style I would use throughout my brochure (pen and wash). My idea was pretty solid but still quite big changes were made like the location of my 3rd grab and go cafe/ restaurant.
In this week I learnt to just jot down any ideas you have in a brainstorm in my book whether it be a good or bad idea, this helped a lot with my idea development.
In this week we started by drawing a post card that demonstrated 3 aspects of our holiday, 2 tangible objects and 1 intangible. This was kind of challenging at first as I had no idea how to draw an emotion but as I drew the card it became apparent to me that symbols and indexes can be integrated to trigger certain emotions and associations.
I drew a scene of me on my break at work in Tairua sitting with a glass of wine in front of the ocean.
